Accepting Christ
Maybe the first step you need to take is to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. Salvation is possible because Jesus, the Son of God, died on a cross to be the sacrifice for our sins. In confessing our sinful state and believing that Jesus' death and resurrection purchased our full redemption, we will be saved. This salvation is the grace of God working through your faith in Jesus. You do not need to earn God's acceptance. Receive Jesus and you will be made the righteousness of God by and through the power of Holy Spirit of God working the new birth in you. You can be born again today! Water
Baptism
Is your next step water baptism? Maybe you've been saved for some time now and you've never been baptized. We would love to celebrate this amazing milestone with you. On the other hand, maybe you've recently been saved and you're not even sure what this is, or you know, but you've just been waiting on the opportunity. Either way, we'd love to talk water baptism with you. The New Testament places a strong emphasis on being baptized. Water baptism speaks to what happens when we are saved. Our old man is put to death and we are raised a new person in Christ Jesus. If you'd like to be baptized or would like to speak with someone about being baptism, possibly for a better unerstanding of this step of obedience, then please contact us today.
Volunteering
for Jesus
One of the greatest steps to take at almost any stage of your Christian experience is the step of volunteering. Jesus is our greatest example. He came to serve, not to be served. He taught that the greatest among us is the greatest servant. Serving Jesus by volunteering with the local church is a step that has been proven to help believers grow leaps and bounds in their faith and relationship with the Lord. On top of that, scripture teaches that we all have been given gifts to serve the local church. Maybe it's time for you to take that next step of faith and volunteer. Not sure exactly what to do? Counseling
Sometimes the best step we can take is to go get advice from someone else. Of course, you need to be able to trust that person. Sometimes we need someone to talk to. Sometimes we need advice. Sometimes we need someone in our corner to hold us accountable or
speak truth to us. Pastoral counseling may be a one time meeting or it could be ongoing meetings with the goal of sorting through more serious issues. If we can help you, let us know. We also offer pre-marital counseling.
Be
Discipled
Do you have a person in your life committed to helping you become a mature man or woman of God? A commitment to growing in the faith is extremely important. What steps have you taken to be a healthier disciple? Do you have someone that you can call when you're struggling? Someone to pray with you about those personal matters? We all need to be discipled. We would love to help you by connecting you with another great man or woman of God for some ongoing discipleship in your life.

Groups
Have you been looking for a smaller community of believers to connect with? Gathering in large groups for weekly worship is great and can be very inspiring, but often it falls short of the deeper fellowship and discipleship that's needed. So, we encourage you to seek out a smaller context, like that found within a small group, to get involved with. C@GV's small group ministry is called Village Groups. Outreach
Opportunities
One of the greatest steps you can take is to get involved in one of our outreach projects. Spiritual growth happens when you stretch your faith and comfort level by getting involved with efforts to reach the community. We would love to have you participate in one of our upcoming outreach ministries. Outreach opportunities will be posted on the home page under Latest News. We will post these updates about 30 days ahead of the actual date, so keep an eye on the latest news section. You can also contact the church office to see what outreach efforts are being scheduled for the near future. Should you have an outreach idea that you'd like to share with us, then please do. We'd love to hear from you. Should you desire to lead an outreach effort, again, please let us know. Let's love the community together.
Become a
Leader
Do you feel God is calling you to be involved at a leadership level? That may be to be a deacon in the church or maybe an elder one day. Maybe your heart longs to teach or evangelize. Maybe you desire to be a small group leader or simply a strong disciple maker. What we know is that every church needs strong leaders and more of them. If you feel God is leading you towards church leadership, then let us know. You will not want to miss out on the next Timothy Training session(s).

Missions
Is it time? Is it time to go? Has God been dealing with you about stepping out in faith and launching that ministry? Has He been nudging you to obey His call to go to that place or to plant that church? Obeying God in these moments is nothing short of beautiful. We would count it an honor to help you obey God. If we can do nothing more than commit ourselves to praying for you, as you take that step of obedience, then we will give ourselves to that. We believe that the fields are ready for harvesting.
